Senior Center Happenings

The Currituck County Senior Centers; Barco, Knotts Island and Powell’s Point are places designed to give Senior Adults in Currituck the opportunity to meet other seniors, receive services geared towards seniors and participate in activities that will affirm their dignity and self-worth.

With that in mind each month the staff produces a newsletter to inform citizens of available programs for that month. Please take the time to read what the Senior Centers are doing this month.

When we all work together the senior centers are an “enjoyable and a happy place” for EVERYONE!

    • 1 Tbsp red wine vinegar
    • Generous pinch sugar
  • Kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper

  • 8 (1/2 in thick) slices rustic bread
  • Sliced tomato, sliced white onion, Bibb lettuce

    • Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

    • Stir in basil, olive oil, vinegar and sugar. Season with salt and pepper.
    • In a shallow bowl, stir together flour and Old Bay; season with salt and pepper.
