Program Registration

Sign-up deadlines are established for each program; in some cases, no late registrations will be accepted unless there are openings on a team.

Registration forms are only available during the registration period.

Registration is open for the following programs:

 

  • 2019 Summer Tennis Camp
    Date:  June 10 – 14, 2019
    Time: 2 session | Morning – 8:30 a.m. & 6:30 p.m.
    Place: Currituck County High School
    Cost: $50.00 per person

    Who?

    For children, teenagers, and adults of all abilities. Children must have completed kindergarten or higher in order to participate.

    Students will be grouped based on age, experience, and ability.

    Where?

    On the tennis courts adjacent to Currituck County High School.

    When?

    Monday, June 10 – Thursday, 14, 2019.

    Classes are scheduled for Monday through Thursday, with Friday saved as a rain-date.

    Students may choose either the morning or the evening sessions. The morning sessions begin at 8:30 a.m., and evening sessions begin at 6:30 p.m.

    Classes for children age IO and under last 90 minutes. Classes for those 11 and older, including adults, last 2 hours.

    Teachers?

    Vic Ramsey, varsity tennis coach at Currituck County High School, will lead the morning sessions.

    Tony Willingham, boys tennis coach at First Flight High School, and USPT A certified tennis instructor, will lead the evening sessions.

    Current and former members of the Currituck County High School tennis teams, and other adult volunteers, will assist with the instruction.

    What Will Be Taught?

    Beginners will learn basic strokes, how to keep score, tennis etiquette, and other beginning skills. Intermediate and advanced students will receive instruction based on individual needs.

    Younger children will be taught using low-compression balls and smaller courts, giving every child the opportunity to succeed.

    What to Bring?

    Bring a tennis racquet if you have one. lf you don’t, a racquet , will be provided for you to use.

    Wear tennis shoes, and dress in appropriate athletic clothing.

    Bring a water bottle and a towel. We will have ice water available at each session.

    Cost?

    $50.00 per person. Please make checks payable to “‘Currituck Tennis”.

  • Currituck County High School Soccer Skills Camp
    Date:  June 17 – 20, 2019
    Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
    Place: Currituck Community Park Multi-Purpose Field
    Cost: $80.00 per person

    Registration: Complete form and mail/drop off registration fee.

    Boys and Girls ages 5 to 13. Groups will be separated by age: 5-6, 7-9, 10-13.

    Players will be grouped by age and skill level.

    Skills that will be taught daily:

    • Dribbling
    • Passing
    • Shooting
    • Transitions
    • Defense
    • Team Play

    Instructors will be high school coaches and players.

    All players will receive a free soccer ball, certificate and camp picture.

  • Challenger International Soccer Camp

    Challenger’s International Soccer Camp is combining the most popular elements of soccer, British Soccer and TetraBrazil and will intergrate them with a collection of the most effective soccer practices.

    If  you are looking for a week of pure soccer, learning new skills with an international staff be sure sign up this summer for the camp.

    The week long summer camps will provide young players with a wide variety of coaching styles, practices and influences that will help them develop a well-rounded skill set.
