Gardening is a healthy, fun activity for children! Young people that participate in gardening activities develop new skills, learn about science and nature, learn about where their food comes from, and expand their creativity and imagination.
The 2021 4-H Youth Gardening program will provide hands-on, informative and imaginative activities for youth of all ages, with new activities each month. The second virtual workshop of the year called Aloe There! is a hands-on gardening activity for youth ages 10-14, on Tuesday February 9, 2021 at 4:00 p.m.
The workshop will last approximately 45 minutes. Together, we will learn about the aloe vera plant and what it takes to make it thrive. You will make up the appropriate soil mixture and plant your very own aloe vera plant!
This virtual workshop conducted via Zoom is free of charge and all materials for this workshop will be provided to registered participants. Material packets can be picked up prior to the event from:
