The Currituck County community is invited to the Historic Jarvisburg Colored School on Saturday, June 19, 2021 to celebrate Juneteenth and the official launch of the new African American Experience of Northeast North Carolina heritage tour.

In addition to remarks and words of inspiration by local civic leaders and Reverend Curtis Brinkley, Pastor of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church, a special musical performance will be shared by Dr. Walter Swan, Associate Professor of Visual and Performing Arts at Elizabeth City State University.

Refreshments will also be served.
