Get rewarded for getting healthy and staying healthy with our 2019-2020 Incentive Awards Programs developed by your Currituck County Wellness Committee and Cigna!

How your Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) works

Currituck County has established and funds a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) to help you pay health care expenses that your plan does not cover, including co-pays, deductibles and coinsurance.

Employer Contribution

Currituck County funds the HRA with $750.00 per covered employee. The amount paid by the fund for covered health services counts toward your annual deductible.

Your Share

If you spend all the funds in your Health Reimbursement Account, you will pay for any additional health care costs up to the amount of your annual deductible.

Once you are credited by Cigna for your participation, Cigna will pay medical claims and prescription claims from your HRA balance up to $750.00 per year.

All you have to do is participate and self-report the activities not reported by Cigna to the website.

Health Assessment*Complete the health assessment located at (Cigna reports your completion and will look back to April 2019).

Annual Preventive Physical Exam
Well Woman Exam
Complete your annual preventive physical exam with your healthcare provider. (Cigna will award you preventive dollars, up to the $350 cap, once your claim has been processed)

Obtain your Blood Pressure, Glucose, total Cholesterol, HDL Cholesterol, BMI$

Healthy Pregnancy Healthy BabiesSpeak with a Maternity nurse in the 1st Trimester and after your Baby is born, and earn $150. Speak with a Maternity Nurse starting in the 2nd or 3rd Timester and after the Baby is born, and earn $75.

Please note this reward is in addition to the $750 Maximum Wellness Dollars for employees and $100 for spouses.
