    Gardening and Cooking with Herbs On-Demand

    Are you tired of cooking the same meals? Do you need ideas to spice up your cuisine? Maybe you just need help finding quality herbs? If any of these questions apply to you, or if you’re interested in learning more cooking or gardening techniques, then N.C. Cooperative Currituck County Center has the class for you!

    Starting on Monday, August 9, 2021, we will be offering an online, on-demand gardening and cooking with herbs class. We’ll have videos and research-based resources to help you start your own herb garden, and then learn to cook with it. We’ll cover herbs 101, how to make a mason jar herb garden, and then learn how to utilize herbs in drinks, desserts, and salads.

    Cook Smart Eat Smart Cooking School

    Location: NC Cooperative Extension, Currituck County 

    Do you want to learn to cook delicious, simple, and healthy meals? Then sign up for our Cook Smart Eat Smart Cooking School, today! North Carolina Cooperative Extension’s Cook Smart Eat Smart Cooking School will take place on Wednesdays  beginning September 1, 2021 and running through September 29, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

    In each of the 4 sessions, we will cover one aspect of cooking as well as a cooking technique. The price of the full cooking school is $40.00 and includes a cookbook as well as tastings of any of the delicious food you prepare.

    We are accepting cash and check payments in addition to paying via credit card through Eventbrite. Please, make checks payable to NC State University. Checks and cash payments can be received at the Currituck County Office, 120 Community Way Barco NC 27917, within 5 days of registration.     Currently, masks are not required for in person classes, but are encouraged for unvaccinated individuals. Please be aware this could change in light of changing state or local Covid-19 mandates.
