What's Happening at the Senior Centers in April 2012We will be CLOSED Friday, April 6 in observance for Good Friday!
The County's three center facilities are places where senior adults can meet, receive services, and participate in activities that will affirm their dignity and self worth. Within this atmosphere, the centers create opportunities for senior adults to apply their wisdom, insight, and exercise their skills.
Special Events In April
Thursday, April 3 - 11:15 a.m. - TRIP - We will be having lunch at Currituck BBQ! Cost is money for lunch.
Thursday, April 5 - 11:00 a.m. - TowneBank of Currituck will be here to give a FREE presentation on reverse mortgages. Please stop by or call 232-3505 to sign up. Friday, April 13 - 11:30 a.m. - Get out those Poodle Skirts and Penny Loafers! We will be having a SOCK HOP with music, food and dancing. We will have all our old favorite foods plus some new ones including BBQ! Cost is by item on menu. Please stop by or call the Currituck Senior Center at 232-3505 to sign up no later than Monday, April 9th!
Thursday, April 19 - 5:00 p.m. - The Alzheimer's Support Group will have their monthly meeting here at the Currituck Senior Center. For further information you may contact the Currituck Senior Center at 252-232-3505.
Tuesday, April 24 - 9:30 a.m. - We will be going shopping at the "Williamsburg Outlets." Cost is $3.00 transportation fee and money for lunch. Tuesday's in April - 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Blood Pressure Check - Keeping check of your blood-pressure is very important to your well-being, since Stroke is the silent killer Wednesday, April 4 - We will be having our Birthday Cake party for all those April babies! Thursday, April 5 - 1:15 p.m. - We will be coloring eggs! We will provide the eggs and coloring. Join us in bringing back those childhood memories of coloring eggs with your mom! Thursday, April 12 - 10:30 a.m. - TRIP - We will be going to lunch at "Cracker Barrel" and shopping at the new Wal-mart. Cost is $3.00 Transportation fee and money for lunch.
