Flatiron Construction Corporation, on behalf of North Carolina Department of Transportation, will begin altering traffic patterns on both the Eastbound and Westbound structures of the Wright Memorial Bridge on Monday, October 2.
The purpose of these alterations will be to move all traffic to the newer Westbound structure over the next two weeks in order to begin repairs to the deck of the older Eastbound structure. The expected completion date for these repairs, and to have traffic restored to the previous pattern, is May 14, 2018.
During this time frame, the speed limit throughout the work zone will be reduced to 45 miles per hour.
