Moyock Mega-Site Market Feasibility Study
Currituck County recently contracted with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. to perform a Market Analysis to assess the attractiveness and viability of development occurring on approximately 3,000 acres in the Moyock area.
The county decided to proactively get a better handle on potential economic development opportunities that will allow the county and owners to capitalize on the increased market demand, specifically in Moyock, for light industrial, office, multi-family residential, single family residential, and retail developments.
The findings from the market feasibility study and related engineering and environmental due diligence is the first step to determining the best approach for developing the Moyock Mega-Site over the next 30 years.
On Monday, March 28, 2016 Currituck County Board of Commissioners, Economic Development Advisory Board, Moyock Small Area Plan Stakeholder community group as well as the press, attended a presentation by. Kimley-Horn on their findings from the study and recommendations for future steps for the county.
