 Welcome to the Currituck County Fire-EMS (CCFEMS) website! 

CCFEMS is a growing and progressive combination volunteer/career Fire and Emergency Medical Services system. We pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality emergency services to our visitors and residents in the most efficient and effective manor possible.

Our staff includes seventy-three (73) full time employees, twenty-five (25) temporary employees and  approximately fifteen (15) volunteers. We operate between eight and ten paramedic level ambulances and two supervisory vehicles, out of seven different stations twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

Our administrative staff includes a Chief, Deputy Chief, Training Captain and our Secretary. Our operational supervisory staff consists of four shift Captains and one Outer Banks Captain. I

n addition to our primary mission of providing County-wide emergency medical services, we assist the six volunteer fire departments with fire response and personnel to provide an all hazards approach to the protection and care within our coastal community.

CCFEMS also believes in giving back to the community and has partnered with different agencies to become preventative and proactive in the way we serve our customer. We aim to follow our department motto of being “Positive, Progressive and Professional in Service!”
